Monsignor McCoy Baseball & Softball Camp April 2019

Monsignor McCoy High School in partnership with Swanny’s Baseball Training facility will be hosting a 2019 Skills and Drills Baseball/Softball Camp on April 23, 24, 25, 2019

Daily Schedule

April 23, 24 & 25

Ages 5-8  -  10:45 - 12:15pm

Ages 9-14  -  12:45 - 2:15pm


Tuesday, April 23 @ Monsignor McCoy High School 

Wednesday, April 24 @ Swanny's Baseball & Training Facility

Thursday, April 25 @ Monsignor McCoy High School

*Parents will be receiving a phone call with additional camp details 


This camp is open to all boys and girls who already play, who want to learn to play or who want to enhance their skills in baseball or softball, open to ages 5 to 14.


April 23, 24, 25, 2019.


Cost is $65 per player and includes 3 days of instruction, a camp T-shirt, and a meal (pizza) on the last day of the camp.

Skills and Drills

“Skills and Drills” is aimed at teaching the basic fundamentals to young baseball players and softball players.  The following skill areas will be taught in baseball and softball:

  • throwing/catching
  • hitting
  • pitching
  • fielding – infielders, outfielders, catchers
  • base running
  • bunting

Click here for the printable registration form (located on the brochure). The $65 registration fee will be due by April 15, 2019 to assure that T-shirts will be done on time.

Payments can be made to Monsignor McCoy High School through SchoolCash or by cash or cheque.  Registration forms can be dropped off or mailed to:

Camp locations will be held at Monsignor McCoy High School gymnasiums, sports fields and Swanny’s Baseball and Training facility.

Equipment Needed

Each player must have a glove, helmet, running shoes, and wear a protective cup. 

Please make sure all personal equipment is clearly marked with the player’s name, as Monsignor McCoy High School will not assume responsibility for lost items. 

About Our Instructor

Kyle Swannack

  • Co-owner of Swanny’s Baseball and Training Facility in Medicine Hat.
  • Played four years of College Baseball at Bellevue College and Washington State University.
  • Member of 2011 North Region MVP and First Team All-American pitcher.
  • Coached at many levels including Washington State University, Tacoma Community College, Central Washington University and four years with the Medicine Hat Mavericks.
  • Masters Degree in Psychology with Emphasis in Sports & Performance Psychology.
  • Notre Dame Baseball/Softball Academy Instructor since 2018.
  • Monsignor McCoy High School Baseball Academy Instructor starting September 2019.

Monsignor McCoy High School baseball players will assist Kyle Swannack with instruction.
